The problem in this area is a triangle. Initially it takes a public of sufficient numbers who are willing to ignore the negative aspects of this phenonomom and want to see these photos. Then the natural capitalistic response of the businesses (i.e. magazines) is to ignore those negative aspects and provide what the public wants. The last leg of this stool are the photogrhers. While not all of them can be lumped into the same category, there are enough who are individually willing to ignore these negative aspects and get paid for these photos. None of them works without the at least tacit approval of the others.

I disagree that the magazines are more to blame, it is the public who creates or at least perpetuates the market for these photos. Both the mags and the photographers are also to blame having made individual and moral decisions to participate, but saying that the photographer's response to the large sums of money is ok cannot excuse the behavior of some of them. The amount of money offered for a bad act cannot justify that act.
